Punch & Awl: Book Binding for Beginners

Poetry Barn provided the tools: punch, awl, needles, twine, bone folders, paper. Five apprentice bookbinders provided the creativity. In a light-hearted yet enlightening afternoon, we learned two simple methods of creating and binding a book, hands-on. The techniques we used were the Japanese four-hole stab and pamphlet-stitching. Thanks and congrats to all the talented participants ~ who hardly seemed to be beginners ~ just take a look at their beautiful and creative results!
